ODOT Super Load Update Using Kenworth Trucks

The first “super load” will leave from Lucasville at 7:30am on Friday. The super load will travel north on U.S. Route 23 to Piketon where it will cross over into the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 23 at Market Street to manuever around the traffic signals then cross back over into the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 23.

Kenworth Introduces New Transmission at Work Truck Week

Kenworth introduced the new PACCAR TX-12 PRO automated transmission for Class 6-7 and light Class 8 vocational applications Tuesday at Work Truck Week 2024 in Indianapolis. The TX-12 PRO builds on the existing TX-12 transmission, the company says. It’s available with select Kenworth Class 8 models, including the T680 and T880 with the MX-11 or PX-9 engines. The transmission is will also available later this year on Kenworth Class 6-8 models, including the T280, T380 and T480 with the PX-9 engine. The new transmission is engineered to operate with all MX-11 and PX-9 engine ratings, up to 445 horsepower, 1,700 lb.-ft. of torque and 70,000 pounds of gross combination vehicle weight.
