Service Advisor Responsibilities:

Sales Support & Delivery

  • Assist with the daily business of selling and delivering new medium- and heavy-duty trucks in accordance with company and Kenworth franchise policies.
  • Provide technical support for truck specifications, dealer transfers, and demos to the outside sales team.
  • Support customer deliveries, warranty registrations, and dealer transfers when needed.

Inventory Management

  • Track new truck inventory by reviewing factory pre-bills and processing change orders on stock and customer-ordered vehicles.
  • Coordinate scheduling for body installations and upfitting as required.
  • Check in new truck deliveries to ensure accuracy, quality, and condition.
  • Ensure efficient communication of inventory availability and vehicle cost analysis across dealership locations.

Factory & Engineering Coordination

  • Spec and order new Kenworth chassis using manufacturer quoting tools.
  • Communicate with Kenworth Engineering and Application Engineers on technical and specification matters.
  • Administer factory programs, promotions, and reporting requirements to maintain strong manufacturer relationships.

Marketing & CRM Administration

  • Produce and distribute sales promotions, including direct mail and digital campaigns.
  • Manage advertising of new truck inventory on websites and media outlets.
  • Maintain and update CRM database with accurate sales and customer information.

Compliance & Procedures

  • Follow all accounting, procedural, and reporting requirements outlined in Sales Department policies and the Employee Handbook.
  • Comply with all safety practices and company policies, including the Drug-Free Policy.
  • Report unsafe activities to the Sales Manager promptly.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Sales Department and dealership operations. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Knowledge of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, chassis specifications, and body upfitting a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems and inventory management preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, and factory representatives
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
