Experienced Service Advisor/Writer Opportunity

Do you have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of the commercial truck industry? Ready to join a high-performing, family-owned dealership that’s proudly one of Ohio’s largest Kenworth truck groups? Kenworth of Cleveland is looking for a Second Shift Service Advisor to help drive our service department’s success.

Responsibilities 

• Greet, schedule, and follow up with service customers
• Write repair orders and provide accurate service quotes
• Review service history and upsell necessary maintenance or repairs
• Communicate warranty coverage (Kenworth, PACCAR, GMC, etc.) and ensure timely claim filing
• Promote PremierCare® and Roadside Assistance programs
• Support sales and delivery teams for incoming/outgoing trucks
• Assign jobs to technicians and monitor job flow
• Monitor open repair orders and close most within 24 hours
• Help oversee parts/tool bins to support shop productivity
• Maintain service documentation and shop supply inventory
• Assist with technician and team vacation coverage as needed
• Maintain a professional appearance in line with company policy
• Attend required online and in-person training sessions
• Participate in company meetings as required
• Stay current on OEM guidelines, policies, and service procedures
• Maintain industry terminology fluency and required competencies
• Abide by all Hissong Group policies and the Employee Handbook
• Follow attendance and timekeeping policies, including clocking in/out for shifts, breaks, and personal time
• Follow all directions and policies set by Managers
• Protect confidential and proprietary materials owned by PACCAR, Kenworth, and Hissong Group
• Work a consistent second shift (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday–Friday)
• Be available to rotate two Saturdays per month

Requirements:

High school diploma or the equivalent and two-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
